auberge sync hermes

Sync ~/.config/hermes/config.yaml to /home/hermes/.hermes/config.yaml on a remote host and restart hermes-gateway. Alias: auberge sy h.

auberge sync hermes [OPTIONS]

Every remote step runs as the hermes user through the host’s become_method, so the ssh user needs sudo. Creates /home/hermes/.hermes/ if absent; fails if hermes was never deployed. Pass --pull to reverse direction (downloads remote → local, no service restart). SSH key: host.ssh_key from hosts.toml if set, else ~/.ssh/identities/{host}/{user}.

Gotchas

• --dry-run and --pull are mutually exclusive.
• Service restart failures: ssh user@your-vps 'sudo journalctl _UID=$(id -u hermes) -n 50'.
